East Central Avenue Multi-Modal Project - Update
East Central Avenue Multi-Modal Project - Construction Update (As of Friday, July 14, 2017):
Over the last month, work has focused on construction of the new drainage systems, curbing, sidewalk and ADA ramps in the Phase 2 - Route 252 to the Paoli Place Apartment Complex portion of the East Central Avenue Multi-Modal Project. The majority of the curb and sidewalk work in the Phase 2 portion of the project has been completed as of July 10, 2017. Some additional work remains once PECO/Verizon coordinate on removal of one Utility Pole, and once one additional storm drain (w/ a utility conflict) is resolved and installed, in front of the Paoli Pointe Complex. Grading and temporary stabilization will occur over the next week as the Phase 2 portion of the project continues.
Next week (the week of 7/17), the contractor will finish any temporary sidewalk routing that is necessary along Phase 3 (Paoli Place Apartments frontage) and Phase 4 (Delaware Valley Friends School frontage) of the project. In addition, work will begin on the removal of the existing curb and sidewalk in Phase 4 (Delaware Valley Friends School), so the contractor can complete major construction activities on sidewalk, curbing, and drainage installation, prior to the start of school. Following completion of work in Phase 4, the contractor will work back into Phase 3 (Paoli Place Apartments frontage) back to the Phase 2 project area.
Work is still currently on track to be completed by early October 2017, and further scheduling updates will be posted as necessary, if any changes occur. Once again, the Township would like to thank the residents and business owners in the areas around East Central Avenue for their patience as these public improvements are completed in 2017.
