Draft Floodplain Ordinance Revisons:

An ordinance of Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania, amending the Tredyffrin Township zoning ordinance of 1939, as amended, which is codified in Chapter 208 of the Code of Tredyffrin Township, (entitled “zoning”), by amending and restating Chapter 208, Article V (entitled “flood hazard districts”) to require all persons, partnerships, businesses, and corporations to obtain a permit for any construction or development; providing for the issuance of such permits; prohibiting, or setting forth certain minimum requirements for, new construction and development within areas of the township which are subject to flooding; and establishing penalties for any persons who fail, or refuse to comply with, the requirements or provisions of this ordinance. Effective five days from enactment; and by adding, amending and deleting certain definitions related to the foregoing.

Pursuant to Section 1601(d) [53 P.S. § 66601(d)] of the Second Class Township Code, the codification of a complete body of legislation for the Township of Tredyffrin, County of Chester, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, as revised, codified and consolidated into chapters, articles and sections by General Code Publishers Corp., and consisting of Chapters 1 through 209, together with an Appendix, are hereby approved, adopted, ordained and enacted as a single ordinance of the Township of Tredyffrin, which shall be known and is hereby designated as the "Code of the Township of Tredyffrin," hereinafter referred to as the "Code."
