Streets and Stormwater
The Tredyffrin Township Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the Township's 107 miles of roads. The Department's work involves an annual paving program; plowing and sweeping streets; traffic signs, signals and street lights; and managing runoff of stormwater from roads into the storm sewer system.
Updates about Capital Projects:
- Sidewalks installation around Conestoga High School and T/E Middle School
- Intersection improvement at Conestoga, E. Conestoga and Upper Gulph Roads - currently on hold
- Maude Circle - Lisa Drive - Vincent Road - Rochsolach Ave drainage improvements Addition of storm sewer piping, inlets, manholes, seepage beds and outfall structures to better control stormwater runoff from roads. The project is expected to be completed in spring 2010.
- Richards Road - Gulph Road inlets and BMP To reduce runoff on Richards Road, inlets will be added to Richards and Gulph Roads and water will be piped to a vegetated area on Township open space. The project is currently under design. Construction is expected to start in June 2010. Estimated cost of design, permitting and construction from Township bonds: $66,000
- Forrest Lane inlets To reduce ponding on the road, inlets and piping will be installed on Forrest Lane. The project is currently under design. Construction is expected to start in June 2010. Estimated cost of design, permitting and construction from Township bonds: $160,000
